Improved no end in the last 2 seasons. Mediocre before that.

Good player, just not international quality.

Been a solid player throughout his career.

One of the most consistent players of this era.

Get's the maximum out of his ability, can't knock him

Not one of his better performances today but has a terrific work ethic

Never understood his critics to be honest.

He might not have as much technical ability as some other players but that's hardly his fault - and it's not his fault that he gets picked in teams either. He gets picked because he will never let anyone down, and does the leg work for the players around him.

I think he has a decent amount of ability - but coupled with a massive desire and tireless work rate which is becoming rarer and rarer in the modern elite footballer. He might not always play brilliantly, might not ping 90 yards passes and land them on a sixpence or run round a back four, but he never, ever lacks effort.

That should be the minimum for any player, but often it's not done.

Klopp will love him - and city are missing him

Definitely. Loved his performance against City the other week. He could barely run by the end of it he put that much into the game
