    Terrible shame if he has to retire but thankfully has had this condition found and hopefully will be able to continue at some level.

    Massive disapointment is that. Looked like during our home tests he would be in with an excellent chance of getting a game.

    Terrible news for the guy. Just on the point of breaking through as well in ODI and test level. Took some terrific close catches in SA and he looked like he was starting to believe he could belong.

    Such a crying shame.

    Absolutely gutted for him. Only 26 and looking like he could be an England regular at test level. Very sad indeed, but I suppose it's got to be seen as a positive that it was detected when it was, rather than in the middle of a match, when things could have been much worse.
