He'd be stupid to move. Also, not sure why Vardy would ever have dreamed of the need for a £20m buyout clause in his contract.
Doesn't matter, it takes a key player away from Leicester and stops anyone else from buying him. Thus strengthening Arsenal's hand. Or at least that's the theory.
Me neither, he's not got too long at the very top, surely he'll want as much game time as possible. Which he's likely to get at Leicester (if fit of course) He'll not be on peanuts at Leicester either and no doubt his sponsorships will be through the roof after this season..
I can see him leaving. Last season Leicester will never top and next season I would be surprised if they even make the Europa League. Or go to Arsenal, be pretty much guaranteed Champions League football every season, live in London (or nearby Surrey) rather than the Midlands, play in front of twice as many fans, earn much more money, have more local derbies etc.
70K per week at the King Power. He will double that at Arsenal. Small, mobile and very very quick - he is the perfect fit for Arsenal's style of play.
He isn't they don't play in a style that will utilise Vardys speed. Never play balls over the top and they don't hit it early to allow him to catch a defence out with his pace. If they needed a quick striker they would play Walcott not Giroud. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Do you know, I never ever thought that I would agree with one of your posts. You have just proved me wrong. I do not think that Vardy and Arsenal is a good fit.
Can't see Vardy as a good fit for Arsenal. Not good enough technically to produce the type of football that Arsenal aim to produce and Arsenal as RAC says don't play to his strengths which are the long ball over the top and swift counter attack. Having said that I'd go if I were him the money would be irresistible.
Arsenal zip the ball about like lightening at times (Donny Rovers of the South?) and I think someone as quick as Vardy would be perfect to get on the end of that and finish for them. All opinions though, innit?
Seems to be with alot of football players. Even in the prime Sir Alex years of doubles/trebles Man United struggled to attract alot of top names because the lure of living in London not Manchester was a lure to some even though they would be playing for a club not as successful.
