What would you like to see happen ? For me : Ins: RB , LB , CM & ST Outs: Walton - Loan Cavare - Sell Pinillos - Sell Green - Loan Thiam - Sell Styles - Loan Simoes - Loan
Absolutely vital for me are: Experienced centre back and centre midfielder. I believe our strike force is good enough to keep us in this league with Woodrow and Chaplin, the partnership is only just clicking now so we can only expect that to get better. I also believe with the introduction of experience into the midfield and defence that will aid the other players and fetch them on leaps and bounds. Think about it, how many times have we been in a position where we needed an older player to get the lads heads back on their shoulders after a set back in a game? How much better would Halme/Diaby/Anderson look if they had someone guiding them through? If they're wanting to trim the squad and enable the staff to have more focus on individual players then the players i'd look to get rid of are: Thiam, Cavare, Mcgeehan and Green.
Closed full stop in January Maybe then give young uns a decent chance rather than the spreadsheet stevens jizzing all oer themselves when they think they`ve found another gem who we can afford.
Two great prospects we should be looking at: Liam Walsh on loan at Coventry City from Bristol City and Marcus Forss on loan at AFC Wimbledon from Brentford. Walsh is a midfielder and I guess that he could play in any midfield role. Seen him a number of times on Coventry's televised games and he just controls the midfield and affects play from there. Under 24 and not broken into the Bristol City first team. A really good prospect. Forss is scoring almost at a goal a game on loan at AFC Wimbledon and looks a natural striker. I would be trying their parent clubs with our usual cheeky offer of around £350k, but the chances are that we would need to do a Chaplin and go closer to the million mark to land either of them. I have no suggestions for defenders, which is what we really do need, but I would go for a half season loan for someone with the experience of Wes Morgan, Scott Danns, or James Chester. It would break the board's philosophy, but would seem the best way to preserve our Championship status.
Pinillos played for the U23s the other day, he should be straight into the first team as soon as he's fit enough, so would keep him. Other than that, agree with the outgoings. CB is obvious priority, followed by either another CB or a DM, depending on where Halme plays. Then a RB.
At least one experienced centre half, at least one experienced full back and not selling Mowatt or Woodrow.
