Good luck to him. Looking on Soccerbase he's only been involved in 18 games between last season and this, so I presume he's had really bad luck with injuries. He's landed on his feet finding an opportunity to stay in Football.
Was really excited when we signed him, had some great reviews. Shame it didn't work out and I assume he's struggled with injuries recently for him to retire. Hope it goes well, a great opportunity with probably one of the best run clubs in the country
I seem to recall his dad thinking him better than he was and mouthing on Twitter? Questioning him not being in the team? Or am I misremembering? 29 is young to be jacking in going into coaching so you have to wonder if his injuries are catching up with him.
Always remember how chuffed he looked when he realised we were singing a song about him at Hillsborough.
Not as fondly remembered as I thought it seems. He was ok in my opinion. Nothing spectacular but we’ve had plenty worse. either way good luck to him, once a red etc.
