He's never been great defensively but did overlap well and offer some attacking threat on the flanks. Today his choice of passes was reckless and the execution pretty wild. I wouldn't lose sleep over Hill - we need to set our sights higher than him and since when was Trippier ours to "let go" anyway? Nevertheless, there's no escaping the fact Jay Mac was stand-out poor today and that took some doing.
More often than not, he only had two choices: [1] Back to the goalie (same as Rob Edwards did all afternoon). [2] Try an "ambitious" pass upfield.
