Cardiff rumoured to be bidding. Is it the same Jay Rodriguez we had on loan from Burnley that was absolute gash?

If he played for us they'd pick him up for 200k. Thought he looked good in the games l saw him last year, come on a lot since he broke into their first team.

Bit OTT SM he only played just over 3 hours of football in his 6 appearances for us, although apart from coming on at Preston and scoring a tap in straight away in injury time cant say that he broke many pots, but absolute gash he wasn`t that memorable.

Wasn't brilliant when he played for us, didn't like playing him with Gray, as they both looked exactly the same player. Scored with his first touch for us though.

At the time we brought him in, Mark Robins said it was a coo for the club, as he would definatly be a premier league striker one day, with the way he's come on since then, I think it's only a matter of time before MR is proved right.

£5.5m I guess is Burnley's valuation. Take note Don: from car boots to transfers, always ask for much more than willing to take.

They'll take half that but still a good figure.

He's a better player now then he was when he was on loan to us; still not worth £5.5 million but I can't blame them for putting a valuation like this on their players.

How much did Billy Sharp cost Southampton? Was it about 2 million? JRod is younger and better, probably worth about 3.5. At least Burnley are starting the bidding high - when you've got about 10 clubs chasing your player thats the way to do it. If you want him, pay the money, otherwise someone else might. Reckone they'll get more than 3 million. Think he has a chance to make it at Prem level.
