father of 2 - #very groggy, startled awake thinking what the **** is going on, is it burglars, reaches for the cricket bat he keeps under the bed just in case#
cops - #see father reaching for something#
father of 2 - #dead from multiple gunshots#

don't think it can happen? 5 years ago at 5am coppers raided my mum's home looking for smackheads. her partner thought they were being burgled (bit groggy, understandavly trying to get to grips with what is going on and had 7 pints night before too) and he reached for cricket bat under bed. coppers saw him reaching for something, they barricaded the bedroom door as they thought he was reaching for a gun, snatched my brother and sister from their beds and called the armed response unit. totally wrong address, wrong people and almost the wrong town

if they'd have had guns they'd have shot him - no doubt
