Right, speculation starting to accumulate that JCR has walked out and won't fight for his place in the team. I do hope that is not the case as I think the bloke has talent and is good for the club when he's on form. I'd like to encourage him to stay, and work to improve his game, and force his way into the team. I don't think he's a finished article yet - some games he is very very good - but there are a few significant weaknesses that he has shown on the pitch and if I was Robins I would be challenging him on them. If this is the case, maybe JCR doesn't like this? He's great running at players - but sometimes he doesn't know when to give it or play it simple. His crossing is poor frankly - no better than poor - I can think of any number of Barnsley wingers down the years who could put it into the box better than JCR. He has to work on this if he wants to complete his game. For me, he is more interested in cutting inside and trying to get a speculative shot away or doing something more fancy. His attitude is questionable also - sometime he just seems like a disruption on the pitch when his head drops and get seems to get the arse. Forest at home last year we saw both sides of JCR - he popped up with a vital goal, but got carried away over celebrating in the corner when there was a lot left to do. Then he missed the penalty following the debacle with Andranik. After that I thought he was going to lose us the game with his petulance. JCR could be awesome - but I get the impression at the moment that he thinks he is better than he actually is. For me Robins is right to be leaving him out at the moment and it's all about how JCR responds to that. If he comes back stronger he could become a legend - if he starts to get the arse and acts like a drama queen - it's time to say goodbye and flog him to the highest bidder.
If he don't wanna play for us then bye bye. I don't want any player that does not wanna fight for his place or even play for us
If we limited our discussions to hard facts This board would be quite quiet I for one hope that the speculation is completely unfounded - and it may well be - but there is a chance that it is valid so its a fair topic for discussion in my opinion.
RE: What can he expect parking it in Donny! nt just remember in the last fortnight there has also been rumours of jon macken and andy gray throwing the toys out, turned out to be injuries, i dont think hes going anywhere, who would take him anyway hes been crap for quite some time now, he needs t get bk in team playing well if he wants a move to anyone decent
Stops the rumours abart him getting munk on But you've got to question why a player of that calibre can't get in an 18 man squad.
RE: Stops the rumours abart him getting munk on i still think its a bit **** that he left unless he had a genuine reason, he's getting paid good money, surely the games are part of his working week? he should sit and watch and hope that we win! not racing off to go on playstation or listen to some rap
Where is that from Not that I am doubting it but I cant find any comment on the official site - unless I am looking in the wrong place which is quite likely
RE: Where is that from It's from Barnsley Player, Robins' pre-match interview for the Forest game. Maybe Robins' isn't too keen on him, or maybe it was just tactical. Julian Gray can fill in at left-back which gives him an advantage over Jamal, and let's not forget Robins is using Anderson as more of a wide player now. He wasn't really going to have Gray, Anderson and Campbell-Ryce all on the bench was he? You would have expected it from Davey, picking his favourites rather than using some tactical sense, but not Robins.
no Capital Tyke he did not travel with the squad. My mate and I saw him in his 4x4 being driven by another black guy but the no. plates were JCR's
Thanks No idea whats behind it - With 7 subs allowed on the bench I am a bit surprised there wasnt room for him but hard to argue with someone who's substitutions do seem to change the game
RE: Thanks On our way out after the game, a few Donny fans were saying to each other that Robins changed the game with his substitutions. Not heard that said about Barnsley for a good few years, have we?
