He didn't start wondering about towards the end of the first half of his own volition you know. He was told to go and play in a stupid position. It's not his fault our manager had a brain storm and changed a decently organised 4-4-2 into a footballing abortion. He didn't have his best game on Saturday, that's a given, but he'd played a hell of a lot better Hammill who lost the ball every single time he received it. Things weren't going for him, but when he lost the ball he bust his gut trying to get it back.
Spot on. He's gone from hero to villain, with most Barnsley fans, in less than twelve months. It was a bit poor how he walked off after he'd been subbed though and walked straight past Robins.
He chased about for about the first 15 minutes. After that he went on the misisng list in his daft shorts.
Bang on Jay i said exactly same in a post yesterday. Robins tried packing midfield because we were getting over rum after there opening goal. Think he was hoping to get to half time 0-1. Unfortunatly we didnt. But the amount of people sat around me berating jcr for being in middle was unreal. It was obvious he had been instructed to play inside!
After all the hype re JCR bet he starts tomorrow. He could just be the ideal player for the match tomorrow. With instructions to play right wing.
That's pretty much the defining line in players like JCR, when things are going in their favour, they're awesome to watch, other times nothing comes off for them and they look terrible. Shaun Wright Phillips is out of the same mould, different level obviously. JCR has always appeared to work hard defensively, which is quite unique to his ability I think.
