    Yeah I did used to teach him - not arrogant just a bit of a rogue. He got in with the wrong crowd at Liverpool that's why he was released. He was a talented kid and would love to see him at Barnsley.

    I'm sceptical as to whether there's any truth in this and is he any good? He's been playing in the German regional reserve leagues for the last two years and had a very bad injury in the middle of it.

    If we are interested then releasing the story to the media (probably via his agent) will only alert other clubs to his availability. Although a year with us could do a lot for his career if he plays well, I'm sure he'd take the option of being paid double to sit on the bench at somewhere like Leicester - just as 99% of other people would.

    Huddersfield Town Chief executive Nigel Clibbens has said they are not interested in him. Tranmere and Mk Dons were favorites to sign him before we showed an interest, so if league 1 clubs are the main competition for his signature then hopefully he would choose to play Championship football with us.
