Jennings, meanwhile, has played in every one of the six games he’s been eligible for since joining on a month’s loan in November. The Barnsley winger failed to find the back of the net during his time at stadiummk but his impressive performances out on the wing has played a large part in the side’s recent good form. Speaking on Thursday, Robinson said: “We spoke to Dale and his agent last night. He’s disappointed because he wanted to stay but Barnsley, under a new manager, want to have a look at him in January. “He’s a special young talent and a wonderful player but we’re under the impression they want to assess him again. He can’t play on the weekend (because of the terms of his loan) so it’s one of those things.
If he was getting first team football you can't blame him. If he gets regular football here, he'll soon forget MK Dons.
You do them a favour and they come out with a statement like that unsettling OUR player. I wouldn't consider dealing with them again.
Of course. He didn't really get much of an opportunity under Flicker so must have enjoyed playing first team football again. Hopefully that will be of benefit to us and Danny will give him a chance!
The favourable thing with sending players out on loan. Should now be match fit and hungry to show the new manager he's good enough. win for us unlike those sent to S****horpe. Would be straight in the side on Saturday for me, rest O'Brien.
Hopefully he doesn't play rubbish on purpose to go to them. He didn't impress me when he was here, but he clearly did on loan so I guess there must be something promising there.
I think we all agree he was rubbish earlier this season, probably due to being unfit and being pitched straight into the championship from nowhere. (yes i know he was at bayern but look how many games he played) This loan will have done him the world of good and if reports are true then we should thank MK not be looking to have a go at them. Here's hoping he can be the player we all expected and go on from here
totally understand why he might want to stay at MK. i'm sure he'll be professional and try his best with us.
Can't blame him for wanting to stay there, he's had 2 & a half yearsrotting since he left Tranmere. I'm sure Danny will tell him he's wanted here & he'll give his all. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
He looks a lot fitter, but the quality of Colchester.....phew, make us look like Arsenal. We should be grateful that he's made a success of his time at MK Dons, Danny wil be able to have a proper look at him and if he feels like he's got enough to offer now, we've in effect got a new signing for January.
He never really got a proper go for us and little first team football - he has obviously been made to feel wanted at MK Dons and knows he will be playing every week so its not too surprising that he has made it known that he would be happy to go back. Really puts the ball back in Dannys court - if he doesnt want to play him in the first team he may as well send him back but equally I am sure that if he has the chance to play regularly in the Championship he would take that over 3rd division football. He would be a fool to deliberately mess up so he is sent back as someone suggested above - why would he do that especially as we have a new Manager who has a lot of experience at getting the best out of players
He probably wants to stay there because he realises it's his level. If MK have 300k to cover his wages since he's been with us and what we paid Bayern for him he can go.
