Dr if Vine's program goes to form there will be nothing new come out of it. I always feel his program fails to bring anything to any subject they do.
But I just thought I'm mention it.

Ah well there you have it. Still a culture of total denial and SYP refused to comment saying its a matter for the Home Office.

Oh and Lord Tebbit is an obnoxious lying twisted lovely person.

Unfortunately nothing will ever be done. 30 years have come and gone, many of those involved have passed away. :(

tebbit said it again,'it was to put the miners in their place',,,,this is what the strike was all about,it was orchestrated to destroy the union, revenge for the miners victory in 1974,nothing more, nothing less.
the destruction of the union and the tight knit communities that looked out for one another was a small price to pay as far as the tories were concerned..Orgreave in particular was set up to try and destroy any fight that we had,ask anyone who was there, everything was peacefull, with a very carnival like feeling, until the pickets were herded into a confined space where the police then charged, with horses and dogs.
i'm not saying that all miners were angels, but trust me,throughout the strike we were antagonised into trouble, cops waving wages slip, braggin how much money the strike was earning them.
i saw peacfull picketing ruined by police only to watch the BBC news portray that lads had turned up only to start rioting.

striking miners in notts in particular were beaten up and harrassed by the scabs and the cops...there is a book out now called 'The miners strike in nottinghamshire' ,it is a diary by a chap called John Lowe,i urge anyone who is remotely interested to read this book,

It is the miners who want an inquiry into Orgreave and its the tories who are blocking it,there is a reason for this, its because they do no want the truth out.
