Took the wife to a comedy and magic show at the Edinburgh Festival this evening. She wasn't too impressed, but it was a bit of a gamble anyway, to say the least. I thought he was on top form, from the moment he came out dressed as Jimmy Savile, through the lengthy diatribe about why he hates young people and the French (and everybody else), and beyond his tasteless Robin Williams joke when he was doing his trick with the rope. Led to a discussion about what constitutes humour in the pub afterwards. I just thought he was funny, as usual. Don't think the wife wants to see him again though. Like, ever.
Always fantastic live. I suspect you need a certain viciousness in your sense of humour to appreciate him.
I was going to start a thread about what a fantastic game I thought it was yesterday, then come back on later to check the replies
