Did you see that stabbing incident? I would honestly LOVE to watch those three Barstewards being killed. fecking hell, them lads were just sat waiting for a lift. To think that could happen to any of us who mind our own business... bloody hell fire.
RE: Stop watching tv after 2100 any news on a pitch yet? How many footballs do we have, and have we got any cones?
What happened: on CCTV: 3 blokes walking through a shopping mall or something late at night, just talking and joking. Then they see two lads just sat down by a car park waiting for a lft home. One of the three attackers smacked one of the victims over the head and beat him up, whilst the other lad also gets attacked. The second one is then stabbed, and shortly after, the first one, who is crouched down in pain and totally defenceless, gets stabbed and is killed. There was absolutely NO reason for it - the two lads didn't even look at them or anything. Seriously, they should be hung or gassed or something.
RE: Stop watching tv after 2100 Dunno about cones... erm will just have to ask folk to bring footballs. When everyone's paid for WorldNet I should have a bit spare so will go and buy half a dozen or so. Still out of pocket from paying for that.
RE: What happened: You should see some of the knives that got handed in last time they had one of those amnisties(sp?) up in Glasgow, the Strathclyde Police ran it, and to see some of the weapons were unreal. Swords, Machetes, etc. The sooner the knife culture is gone, the better. Especially up here!
It's sickening... I don't WORRY as such when I'm out... but when it's dark and anyone's walking towards me I prepare myself for anything just in case. It's got to the stage where I expect the worst in people. Generally I think I'll be ok as I don't look at people funny or stir up any trouble but these two lads were just minding their own business. And there were two of them, not even like they were alone.
RE: What happened: killings with no motive should carry the highest sentences possible. they should be made to suffer in jail not hung. they should be put in solitary confinement and tortured every other week. i take it they were caught?
RE: Stop watching tv after 2100 You should be able to get a few people to pay up at the training sessions. There's a sports shop in Wakey that's closing, and they're selling footballs for £3, plus I'm sure that they'll have some other stuff we could use, like sports bottles, captains arm band etc. If we could get £1 from everyone per training session we could get pretty well kitted out for the summer games.
RE: It's sickening... There was a lad up here a few years back, who was stabbed to death because he got lost in Glasgow, and walked up the wrong street, he was only 14/15. In my personal opinion, the police have done pretty well so far in getting knives, and weapons off the streets, there's certainly been a vast improvement up here compared to when I first moved up. But, there's still a lot of youngsters carrying weapons, some of them are so young too, it's unreal! You can buy knives and swords openly on the Barras Market in the City Centre of Glasgow, and there are shops dotted around where they sell weapons too.
RE: What happened: Yes, torture sounds good actually. I'd be more than happy to volunteer to do it. Yes they've been caught, didn't catch what the sentence was. Probably a few hours community service.
RE: Stop watching tv after 2100 I had a captain's armband but I think Mr Red Fern still has it ff Yeah, we'll try and sort out some stuff. In Woolies yesterday, an awesome gazebo in there for £20 - would be great for the summer.
It does make you wonder what sort of background these types come from. Lessons. Thank god for CCTV didn't deter 'em but at least they were caught. Always be on your guard. Much longer sentences for violent crimes. Review of sentencing policy. The indeterminate sentence is a step in the right direction. Can't psychopaths be identified at younger ages and appropriate steps taken. What was the role of drugs in this crime ?
I've go to say I'm not one of the 'hang 'em high' brigade, but this is starting to turn me. What the fck is happening when people are using knives indiscriminately.
My worry is that this will spread and no longer be news-worthy be accepted as 'just one of those things'
What's next? Guns ?

This one http://www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,2-2006240337,00.html
All too common stabbings now though aren't they? Search on BBC news and you'd be there for a week reading all the stories. Quite ironic, since the knife amnesty started this week.
