I havent heard the interview with Keith, but apparently he said there was interest in Jim as well as Haynes. I dont know about you lot, but if we want to be tieing players down to new deals, surely Jim would be deserving of a 2 or 3 year extension? I would seriously doubt - for the first time - the Hillcroft regime if he was to allow O'Brien to go. He is young, works like a trojan, has improved no end, and for me is the type of player that the Hillcroft 'DNA' is all about. Jimbo didnt know owt about it when asked earlier. What you reckon?
Be mad to let him go, he is the sort of player you would expect Keef to sign. But if Keef thinks he can get good money and a cheaper similar replacement then it wouldn't shock me. Saleable assets, recycling and all that.
Just listened to it, he didn't metnion interest in O'Brien - he referred to the injury to Jim as being a reason why he needs to look at strengthening the squad
Thanks people. I would say 'my bad', but as I say, I never heard it. But it was all over twitter yesterday tea-time... and everything on there is true If its ********, then happy days! JIMBO!
