Terrific lad and player whilst his cousin is John's girlfriend. Becomes absolutely incompetent who contributes nothing to the team, when they split up. All mere coincidence, though!
Jim is a better player......commitment, endeavour, skill, end product, attitude......everything really.
Re: I don't I like o'brien - like his enthusiasm - genuinely seems to love the club. Gotta admit I'm struggling to remember the shuker end product but I liked shuker for similar reasons though
Just my opinion But Jim O'Brien is the superior player, contributing more, over a longer period of time & at a higher standard of football.
Re: Just my opinion True - both were good players at their respective levels. Shuker didn't quite make the step up
Other way around for me. JOB has given us about the same but at a higher level, I liked Shukes but he was never gonna be a championship performer.
Re: Just my opinion Can I Butt in here. On the 3 or 4 times I've seen JOB play in a red shirt he has been a stand out. Certainly not the JOB who played for United. He has lost his Billy Big Boots attitude and has matured into very good driving midfielder. IMO When JOB plays well, the team plays well. Thats my take on him anyway.
Re: I don't As I said other day i'd have him as captain. Crainie is in no hurry to sign up, Perkins has mentioned how he might have had to leave if we went down. JOB on the otherhand has taken to the town and area really well for an outsider and would do a grand job.
I liked Shuker but he isn't as good as Jimbo. Shuker did a job but in league one whereas Jimbo has contributed a lot to a championship team.
Here we go - nothing happen so someone has to post this !!!!! About as much relevance as the west stand bog and east stand pork pie debate why oh why - Jim gives 100% end.
Err yes I think I actually say Jimbo is a good player in my post so are you just bored now you've stopped playing with a big chopper.
Best I have seen Jim play was as right wing back in last few games of the season... Tracked back and ran the lines well.
Love Jim and his faffa after his Huddersfield outing with us, in his dads words "he absolutely loves this club and the town"
