Good to see Joe Ackroyd get a new club upon his release from Barnsley. Always thought he had something about him but unfortunately it never worked out mainly due to injuries and the amount of first team midfielders in front of him. Can understand him getting released as the next generation of youngsters (Vimal et al) are coming through and need exposure. Best of luck Joe and hopefully you'll be back in league football soon.

Good to see. Reading between the lines with what he's said I reckon he's not happy being released by us.

I dont think any youngsters coming through an academy would ever be happy at being released mate, happens to thousands every year.

Best of luck to him, hope he has a solid career in football!
