Pretty accurate. Joe Cole's been at the heart of all that we've done well, which isn't all that much. No real width in midfield.

It was a 4-5-1 in disguise, with Lampard, Carrick and Gerrard so close to each other they might as well be wearing the same pair of shorts, Rooney looking isolated and having to come looking for it, and Johnson totally wasted stuck on the right wing.

Change the formation to 4-4-2, get Johnson playing off the shoulder of the centre backs, Cole allowed to roam, and suddenly we're in business.
