would anyone have wanted either of these 2 in the england squad, lambert would have been a mojor shock but cole would have been decent, always played well for england, can play all across the midfield and behind the front man and has been playing well in france this season?
Neither thanks. Personally i think Roy's done right to take Oxlade-Chamberlain (over Cole) who has pace and strength and can scare full backs by being direct. Also would you have take Lambert ahead of Crouch? Think Crouch can consider himself unfortunate.
anybody but Crouch, cannot stand him as a player. everybody loves him especially that prat off gavin and stacey, that fat lad!!
i would have took cole over downing, ive mentioned on a different post i would have took crouch just mentioned lambert as a different alternative to see peoples opinions
maybe roy boy thinks that downing is ace and that he was eyeing him up when he was at liverpool,a bit like he did with suarez
I'd have taken Cole over Downing But then again, I'd have taken Matt Done over Downing. Or even Martin Devaney, in fact I think i've been unlucky not to get picked ahead of Downing. Can't cross, can't shoot, average at running at players, absolutely woeful.
Re: I'd have taken Cole over Downing He is great if you want someone to put it over the bar though - he is the only baffling selection to me
Re: I'd have taken Cole over Downing You aren't baffled that Glen Johnson is included??? I think it's a poor squad, but then again, there ain't much to choose from thanks to the Greed League and it's influx of foreign mercenaries. I think Grant Holt has been robbed though - way better than Carroll or Welbeck
Re: I'd have taken Cole over Downing Wouldn't have picked Lambert. Thirty years old, uncapped and never played in the Premiership as far as I'm aware. I'd have taken Kevin Davies over Carroll.
Re: I'd have taken Cole over Downing grant holt should have been picked, so should others, sick of gerrard, lampard, milner, terry barry etc etc
