    'Allegedly' going on loan to Coventry.

    What a talent he was. Not sure what he's been up to of late, but still, some signing if true for this level.

    That same account said they were signing Samaras, non story, if you see some of the stuff they post you'll know they post *****

    That night we beat Chelsea in the Cup in 2008 the Londoners were generally woefully under par. The exception was Joe Cole, who worked his socks off trying to get his team to raise their game.

    What account?

    Just been reading about it on their forum. Some think it's Cole, some say Kieran Richardson. Local rag saying they're signing an ex England star on loan. They also have Eagles on trial. Proper going for it. Strange, I thought they were financially ******.

    Ah, theres and account on twitter like an unofficial FL one and they post some right *****, which clubs bigger. Usually some championship or PL team against each other. I'd be very very surprised if that happens, unless Villa are paying all of his wages then i can't see it happening.

    Well that's them winning every game he plays, after all he's better than Messi, eh Stevie G??

    But nah in all seriousness, I haven't heard of him doing anything for years and I can imagine his fitness levels are similar to Mido's when we signed him. (Let's hope he has the same impact)

    Cole was a good player. Glad we are not getting him.
    We have been down that line over the years . Passed it , expensive and it all usually goes to the wall.
    We have done all that , been there, never worked out

    I wouldn't have him here full stop. I really rated him years ago and I think it's a pretty wow signing at this level, but as others have said, he's past his best and we've been down that road before without much success. I'd prefer Hourihane, Crowley and Williams.

    But it's definitely wow. Imagine it'll tempt fans back, and will excite young teammates. He seems a good lad which'll help. Our 'star' signings recently have been Mido and Frimpong. Pair of ******* tit ends.

    Joe Cole could have gone on to be a world class player, I remember reading comments from Fergie and Redknapp about his exceptional talent then he ended up at Chelsea and mouriniho drained away all his excitement and turned him into a winger with defensive duties, ruined his career for me he could have been one of the best
