    Hangs around for a little while then tosses one out to the catcher near the boundary. Needs dropping. Nowhere near a Test player

    Agree. Think he will be one day but just not doing it.

    Sadly this England team looks woeful. But I said that a couple of days ago and the great all seeing on here said I was an idiot.

    Then the amazing bowling line up got smacked for nearly 600. Aussies must have just got lucky....

    As soon as he did it I shouted "Idiot" at the screen. Brainless play in any situation, but not surprising. Sir Geoffrey is ripping in to him on the TMS text service as well. Quite rightly so.
    We could be on the end of a 5-0 thumping this series. Who would have thought that a few months ago? Botham predicted 10-0 to us!!

    I wouldn't be worried about today PoR.
    He looked fine this today and last night, Got out playing a shot today to a spinner. Not to worry. Just hope he keeps playing shots in difficult positions.

    And before you start saying he might have a problem with Spin or anything, he did well in India

    Not to worry?? Hm, right. "Playing shots to a spinner" is fine if you hit it like the Aussies did yesterday. If not, play like a TEST batsman. Play for the team. I thought Root could do it when he first came in. He is now proving his immaturity. Just not up to it, especially in this series

    Sorry but Root didn't get the luck which Clarke and Haddin did. Both early on hit one up in the air but it found space.

    We are truly dreadful, and getting destroyed. I do wish people would just accept how $hit England are, sometimes.

    Hear hear. Nowt to do with luck. Maybe if the two Tests had been close so far you could say that a bit of luck has swung the game one way or another. But not this Test or the last one. It's pure humiliation. Simply not good enough.

    I hope a few of you are listening to Nass and Atherton regarding Root.

    He looked fine, Fine Margins . Clarke got away with one when Root didn't and everyone was saying how good he looked.......
