    id have him at Oakwell tbh...slag me off for saying it and I know he is a bit of a thug but we havent had someone like that since Jovo and Stumpy Sheridan in midfield

    As a few people on here know I know Jon Parkin and his family and he has signed for them also, Damien Johnson turned down a contract with Huddersfield to sign with Fleetwood, now I haven't spoke to Jon or his family since he signed but I have been told that something exciting is happening at Fleetwood town, ''allegedly'' there's a guy involved with them who is prepared to pump quite a bit of cash into the club in order to (A) keep them in the football league and (B) keep progressing year on year and hopefully gain promotion. If these rumours are correct then signing Jon, Damien Johnson and if its true about Barton these are the kind of players with experience that will help them achieve those aims.

    Yes it does, but what with earlier round of League Cup, autoglass trophy (or whatever it's called), league starting earlier, Fleetwood will have played 12 games sooner that QPR. So QPR pay him, ship him out on loan and the ban is served quicker! They then use Fleetwood to get his match fitness up so he can be included in their revised squad come January.

    He said on twitter that it's just for fitness training, he's not moving there on loan or anything,

    He said he's going there because he knows a few of the lads there, not sure why he's not training at QPR though
