Yes your probley right there I was going to say Rotherham sort of player they have been signing of late would fit in well with odenwinge and blackstock, but doubt they could afford his wages.

I've just watched Clapham and kay interviews on player and the hammill year in video and thought listening and watching what a decent club we have to be proud of. You wouldn't want Barton, Holloway etc near our club. Best thing is they wouldn't want us either but they are not fit to tie heckys and hourihanes boot laces.

People mat disagree but thing is on his day Barton was a good player would boss the midfield in the championship. But he is a first class ****** with a bad attitude and we have a really good club here with players who want to play for the badge wouldnt want Barton any where near us.

Okay you like Hourihane but don't start trying to make out like he's some sort of superstar.

If Hourihane has half the career Jo Barton's had then he should be proud.
Barton's never wanted for a club. He's had clubs wanting him since he turned pro. He's been promoted out of the champ 3 times. PFA team of the year last year. Will any Barnsley players be in it at the end of the season?

Burnley wanted to keep him the summer but he choose to leave. Sean Dyche seems a straight forward man that doesn't make any nonsense. He was nothing but complamentary of him.

At Rangers he had a disagreement with a team mate apparently. It happens, he wants to win and expects a lot from team mates.

I was having a sentimental moment after watching the stuff on player, Barton is a good player but now with more bad press I wouldn't want him here not that he'd come anyway. Hourihane has the potential to have an excellent career as has hecky when they move on from us. That's all I was saying. Have a nice evening

Was it his desire to win that caused him to put a cigar out in the eye of a youth player?

Decent player but has completely embarrassed himself at Rangers, such as with comments he could win a battle with Scott Brown against Celtic but was completely outplayed.

Hourihane has the potential to be as good if not better and is nowhere near as controversial

There's no way we'd sign him, but if we did it would be a disaster for the morale of the squad

Can't really compare him with Hourihane; Hourihane is a lot more attacking, hence why he's scored nearly as many goals for us as Barton has scored in his entire career

Why do you seize any opportunity to be obnoxious about our own players. Barton is devisive and a thug and while he may have had a decent career there really is no need to sneer at our own players just to make your point.

It'd be chaos within 10 minutes of him landing.

Conversely I rate him but the team ethic is more important for us at the mo

Okay you like Hourihane but don't start trying to make out like he's some sort of saint, is what Hemsie should have said.

Hourihane can be a less than honest player at times. Though not in Barton's league of course.

If we offered him the right money he would come. People will disagree but Burnley aren't a much diffrent size club to ours they have been yoyoing between the championship and premiership and gained from parachute payments. I was working in Burnley a few seasons back when they were in the prem the club were advertising tickets for games on the local radio if we were to get back to the premiership I'm pretty sure we wouldn't be advertising on dearne fm for people to buy matchday tickets.

It's something I don't mind. It's part of the professional game. But People don't mention it with there rose tinted glasses on. Hourihane STAMPED on a players foot last season. Seemed to be shouting at a player hurt on the floor this season and got pushed away. There player gets sent off. What people don't talk about, Scowen tried the same on the reading player but wasn't strong enough to push him to the floor.

He's a lovely person. We have great team spirit and having him coming in and acting like Billy big ******** would ruin it. Plus is a 34 year old Barton better than Hourihane? I very much doubt it, he's not been able to hack it in the SPL
