    I might sound like a complete killjoy here, but I honestly think eating competitions shouldn't be a thing.

    They epitomise everything wrong with society today.

    Bun as well, they dip it in water to make it easier to swallow. It's a fairly disgusting spectacle, but pointless gross overconsumption is a pretty fitting event for July 4th.
