Not been down yet.

I may pop down next week but I won't be posting.

    Too many pack attacks.

Is Young Nudge about he said he had been down today? He may be able to tell us.

You are taking this board too seriously mate if you think I had anything to do with Ritchies contract termination. I would think the sacking had more to do with the players and other inside agents.

You Criticised Ritchie's training, but praised Davey's,

Why are results on pitch even worse?

to be honest - gordon shepherd is a very good businessman. he has done a good job in the financial restructuring of the club in my opinion - lots more work to be done on the marketing side of things i think, again my personal opinion. the board are barnsley people and i am happy that we are in the hands of good, barnsley people. but, i still think that sacking andy ritchie was a horribly bad decision in terms of stability - however, it is difficult to comment on it without knowing all the ins and outs. however i was prepared to accept it if we brought in an experienced manager and invested in the team ( one of the alleged reasons why andy got the boot). to date -we havent seen that , all we have seen is a down turn in performances and everything is spiralling out of control.

what a shame. i fear we are going to look back on this year with regret - what a fantastic chance wasted.

    yer mate quite possible.

he maybe good in financial terms but my opinion man management, football sense and this is quite out of control now.

yep - the public relations from the club desperately needs to be addressed, something that Andy Ritchie was in fact , very very good at. however, i think it is fair to recognise that Gordon Sheps has come in for some very undue criticism from large sections of the fans - he definitely has BFC at heart.

RE: You Criticised Ritchie's training, but praised Davey's,

No, I have never praised Davys training. I haven't seen him coach.

May I use an analogy to explain what I think is the problem with this team.

Many years ago I coached a young 800 meter runner. He work hard on the track and sqeezed every once of speed out of himself. He prepaird himself well and won a silver medal in the county championships. He stepped up in class where he raced against atheletes who were on the fringe of the national team. He found he hadn't got the basic speed to compete against these guys.He started to run with these guys rather than race them and eventually he just made up the numbers. He knew he wasn't good enough to to win so he stop trying as hard as he use too.

Now that what I started to think about the team on Tuesday night and it may explain why the performances have dropped off. What do you think?
