    320 jobs lost nationally, 112 locally. The Quick Save contract seems to have been a case of putiing all eggs into one basket.

    The third comment is a classic

    The demise of Kwiksave was ultimately the fault of silly European laws forbidding the use of sawdust in sausages and wooden "raspberry pips" in mixed fruit jam. If we had those laws and regulations in the 1940s we would never have survived the blitz and perhaps that is why those foreigners are telling us what we can eat, they want to soften us up for their next attempt at world domination.
