People think to have experience you need to be 35. He's played plenty of games in the efl hope he can be good for us.
Scored 4 in 49 games for Scunthorpe in L2 before they got relegated. Then 14 in 37 games for Grimsby in the National League when they got promoted, then 4 in 26 games with 4 assists for them in L2 last year. He's not on my radar, but seems to be high thought of.
League 1 his level for sure. Too good for League 2 but not sure he’d get into many teams in our league fighting for promotion. I’ll support him but just being a realist. As said in other post, I also don’t think Nombe would be a good signing either.
I'm giving him games before I make that judgement. Although when we're in the championship we used to sign up and coming players from lower leagues as we couldn't afford experienced championship players wages.. fair enough. Now this lad has alot of league 2 experience but I'd like to see us sign a player or 2 who has actually done okay in the league were in.
I hate loaning younger players who might not be good enough. I’d rather loan someone who’s player at a level like Tom Edwards, Dom Quina or Amine Bassi.
Fair play. It’s for sure a step up. I do agree he’s too good for the levels he’s been at. We’ll see what his ceiling is when he plays for us I guess. A positive signing in my opinion, but I don’t think it solves any of our existing issues so need more in.
Who says we are even in for pollock anyhow he ain’t played at any level just another young in with no experience.
15 games in SPL since January and 35 in League 1 year before. Very good footballer for anyone who signs him at this level. I don’t know if the rumour is true like.
All 3 of those were younger than McAtee when they played for us. I'm betting you've not seen him play. You've certainly not seen Nombe play if you don't think he's exactly what we need. You've looked at numbers and come to a conclusion. You've confused realism with pessimism, as most pessimists on this forum often do.
