John Pearson's comments last Sunday, and on Tuesday.

Last Sunday, I was listening to the Sheffield derby game, and his comments against Kilgallon were idiotic. He definately showed his Wendy bias, and as for "expert summariser"??? PPPPPFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF!!!!!!! Expert, my left gonad!

Yesterday he showed what a Wendy Muppet he really is.

McMahon challenge on Kozzy was 2 foot lower than Kilgallons, and Pearson defended it, by saying Davey's protests got McMahon sent off??


I feel embarrased that John Pearson actually wore a Barnsley shirt!!!

 

Aye i heard his comments when Kilgallon were sent even. Even Wendy biased Radio Dee Daa defended Kilgallon and he wasn't having any of it

I remember 1 game he took a rather nasty bang to the head, he went off for stitches came back on and scored 2 goals, every game after that we had a bloke in the tunnel with an hammer.

'cos if it is, it was hilarious he was off balance when he got the ball and never regained it, he just stumbled he was like a drunk going through a minefield............................. or did i dream that ????????

only 2 people allowed to say whatever they want on dee darr without being challenged by the producers. That is why I have stopped contributing and even listening to P&G. I once rang up & when I mentioned Pearson's bias the reply i got was 'oh he's passionate about is club" and 'Derek Parker's just the same for Barnsley' That irked me as no way is Parker as bad as Pearson. As for Ryan, he comes out with the most disrespectful & outrageous comments, and is not challenged in the slightest about it. Blades, Millers, Chesterfield and ourselves, don't have the same free to say what we want licence.

Parker is about as passionate as a rainy weekend in a cheap B n B for 2 in Cleethorpes....and why should he be? He's a geordie who spent ony a small portion of his career at Barnsley and usually sounds as depressed as hell when talking about the Reds. Its just a pay cheque for Derek wherehas for Pearson , he is little better than a foul mouth thug on the terraces.

I'd say that Derek Parker is just a better and more objective broadcaster. He played at Barnsley in one of our most exceptional sides, scored some superb goals and was a favourite with the fans (and is a player that many fans remember with great warmth). He and many others from that side still have great affection for the club as a result of what they achieved. I'm not saying he'd do radio sheffield for free - but I'm sure he wants us to do better than Wednesday or United.

He is one of only a handful (perhaps 5/6?) of players who I hated before, during and after his Barnsley career. Considering he played for both Sheff Wed and L**ds before we signed him, I would have still hated him if he had scored 25 goals for us in 92/93.
As it was, he got 3 (I think) and was absolutely shocking. He makes the current crop of strikers look like Shearer in comparison.
