Weve got one hell of a prospect in John Stones! What a laiker he is going to be - already doesnt look out of place in the first team. Both feet, quick, great touch, bet he could play anywhere on the pitch and looks so calm and collected for someone so young and inexperienced. How close was he to scoring at the end there today. Wish it had gone in for him.

With all this in mind if a player ever screamed out 5 year contract its him! When one of the top prem teams come a sniffin (which they undoubtedly will) we need to get top dollar for him! Reckon he will go all the way in the game. bobby hassels right when he says hes like a young ferdinand.

Looking forward to seeing him develop next season.

Good player, was happy with all of them today and think diggers and RNL could become good.

But Stones has it all, Saw machester united l/ city and newcastle this season and they have offered pro contracts to less players than him.

Yes he will go far. To someone like Newcastle or West Ham. Probably for £2.50

Already looks a far better player than Wiseman.... but then, a timid monkey is better than Scott

All the youngsters.... Clark, Rose, Digby, Stones should be offered 3 yr deals if Keef thinks they're Championship quality. Whats the expense when they'll be amongst the lowest paid players in the squad? Where's the risk? it's about time we took a look at the 2 yr contracts we offer, they were ok when we were recovering from administration but that was ten years ago, we've lost too much money recently on players out of contract.

Had an excellent game today; will be a real prospect if he carries on like that.

Think we should, also build links with Rotherham/ chesterfield .... and loan them out to play games.

Knew this was going to happen wi Stones first time i saw him play

I just hope clubs keep making silly offers and we keep hold of him.

Keep saying it but stay up and we dont need to sell. Wait till summer and see where we are. Im tipping we will still be in this league and we can let john say when he wants to move on. Im sure hes seen what can happen i.e butts and hammil. Managers in the prem wont allow players time. They want them ready for action. Stones is awesome but is still learning his trade. Bench warming wont help him.

Fingers crossed the club have got the message about getting the right money if he does go. Wonder if sir alex said something to flicker as he came right out saying it would take big money the same day.

What league were southampton in when they sold walcott? And didnt he go for 12m??

Aye. Posted that after his 1st appearance when he came on in second half. Cant remember team we were against but i remember him almost scoring in the last minute.

Been great watching him develop as a player since that first game.
