John Stones has to be BFC's worst ever player...?

....at doing interviews. Poor lad looks scared to death and could hardly get a word out in his features on player! He's an absolute nervous wreck and it's actually quite difficult to watch, in the end he's struggling to talk and giving the same comments for everything. I'm not the best verbaliser myself and really felt for him. It actually might be kinder to take those clips down. You forget just how young these players are sometimes and in many ways it's nice that he's so modest and unassuming rather than an walk before you can run ambitious tart like JB. But I think might need handling a bit gently on this front and be allowed to grow into it in his own time. Be interesting to hear Matt & Adam's general thoughts on the young players and the media?

Lovely to hear though, the total respect and admiration he has for BOBBY HASSELL, unlike some.

 

Maybe someone of that age should be taken out of the media glare. He's only a bairn.

 

The media glare that is Barnsley Player?!! I think your right Jack, if I was that age I would be horrified about that being online where my friends could see it. And if he carries on playing like he is, the attention will get more intense. He's not just young he's adolescent and needs to be allowed space to grow through that. It's probably not true of all of them but it certainly is about young John. Keith Hill needs to step in.

some footballers are never good at interviews ie wayne rooney he allways looks to me as though he,d rather be doing something else.

 

Rooney's fine with it now, maybe not too keen but not as nervous as he was when a teenager.. Fergie handles his young players very well, where the media's concerned. Ryan Giggs never did an interview til he was 21.
