Watching the match on player. Only about 20 minutes in, but he's done it half a dozen times and hasn't missed his man once. pace, length and accuracy and in the final third potentially as handy as a free kick. Like that bloke who used to play for Tranmere, who couldn't do much else but didn't he get a big transfer on the back of how well he could chuck a ball in?

Stones is developing at an alarming rate though, he's looking a natural wing back on just a few showings. It's a real shame we don't have a winger at the club who could help him beat a man on the outside, that will come though I reckon.

Stones is just an all round footballer. Wherever he has played he has done well. He can improve on beating his man when faced up and his crossing but he is an exciting prospect. 100 great games for us then £7m, fingers crossed.

His stock is rising.I would suggest opening offers of no less than 3m and a hefty sell on clause.I'm certain we have Englands next full back on our hands.

he's gone missing once or twice in games, but that's to be expected while he's learning his trade. looks class act and played diouf like he wasn't there yesterday. the boy can be a top top player. just hope we get the benefit of his services and a proper transfer fee

Much "handier" than a free kick. Two more

I'll sum up just how good he is - I totally forget that he's just a boy.

Only thing i would like him to work on his in the final third which is very strange to say about a big guy like Stones but i think he's a very good with the ball up to then and if he improves going on the out side of thedefending full back and getting a cross in he'll quickly move up and be amongst the best full backs in this league.

He's got a great mentor already.... a mentor that he often credits with his development. He's called Bobby.

Prefer him to learn off one of the best in the country to be honest.

vertonghen's played full back a few times and he's a big guy. He would be a good person to learn off.

How can he learn off someone who's not as good has he his?
Not having ago before anyone starts, its just facts. Does Rooney learn off say Darren bent or Defoe when with England? of course not.

Hemsworth. I work with an 18 year lad. He's best friends with both Brad Kilburn and John Stones. They tell him all the time just how crucial Bobby has been in their development. Both of them have worked with Bobby for years, after training. He's been their mentor. Choose to believe it or not, but Bobby Hassell is a great role model for ANY young footballer.

Btw, my young work colleague tells me that Kilburn is going to be a better laiker than Stones...

John Rooney told me the other day that Bobby showed him how to open a tin of corned beef.

well done but you i'm not changing my opinion that he shouldn't be here for anymore than a 40/50k contract.

Why did Barnsley let Andy Gray go or even David preece. Very good role models.

Barnsley haven't the budget for role models. Chelsea don't do role models and they have a massive budget.
