Expect an update on Thursday at the weekly press conference. Hopefully on his way, no point in rushing him & it won't hurt Tom Kennedy to make his Oakwell debut.
With all due respect to Kennedy he did well on debut but if Stones is fit would much rather have a right footed right back however if he isn't then we go again with Kennedy so at least we have someback up at last. Either way no complaints from me.
Sir Bobby is the ultimate bench player, doesn't matter who he substitutes, he'll make the position stronger.
Bobby will only play when we're down to the bare bones. Unfortunately. Suppose it shows how strong we are re squad depth when we're likely to have him, Steele, Done, Perkins etc on the bench. Layering.
I wouldn't change the team after last Saturday's performance if we had Messi in the squad, surely the starting 11 at Brum deserve to start on Saturday, no matter who else is available!!
I see what your saying Albatross but did you think the balance was right on the right. I didn't go to St Andrews but thought we never had anything on the right side in attack.
I thought that was the best all round performance by the reds since we demolished Huddersfield 7-1 at home (1998?) and I wouldn't change the team on Saturday for a gold pig as that would send completely the wrong message to any player dropped from the 11 players who started at Birmingham, as they were all superb in my opinion
Good old Hemsy - we play a fancied team off the pitch at home, Score 5 goals stop the opposition creating a meaningful chance all game and he wants to change the team. I cant see how you can start with other than the same 11 myself. Didnt spot too much in the way of balance not being right.
Sticking to the same team seems obvious, and I would be happy with that. Only thing I may change would be the right side, so Stones/Hassell possibly in for Kennedy who played well though. Only thing with assuming same team is it has allowed Ipswich time to plan against a set 11 for some time.
