I'm kind of neutral on this one. Decent international player, but in my opinion little more than a jizz stain on common decency, that I have always struggled to relate to.
What winds me up about this is the he has been found not guilty - cleared! Why the hell are the FA getting involved and pressing charges after? Sticking the knife in when not needed. One hell of a player we're going to miss.
Terrific centre half I don't care about his personal life Will be greatly missed. I hope Roy stays away from recalling Rio.
The Fa are that antiquated like all the other old farts they do not know any better. They made a **** up at Hillsboro and and also Parachute payments
If you look up "the ugly face of modern professional football" in the dictionary there's a picture of this self-serving pr*ck gurning back at you.
Don't particularly like the bloke but he was a good centre half for England. Never gave less than 100%. He wouldn't just put his foot in where it hurts, he'd put his face and his ballacks in there too. I may not want him coming round for tea but if I was a central defender playing for my country I'd feel pretty confident if John Terry was stood at the side of me.
Just been reading Henry Winter's article in the Torygraph and it says pretty much the same thing: "He embodies much of the arrogance and ego that alienates many people from modern football" http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...ender-was-the-author-of-his-own-downfall.html I think Winter likes Terry about as much as I do. Completely over-rated, arrogant, smug, racist scum-bag of the highest order. Lovely man. (I'm talking about Terry, not Winter - don't know that much about the latter!)
