don't tell me that these are the only ones from their era who did what they did. And those around them who knew what they did and never said a word. Just wonder who else from that generation of "celebrity" will be outed as a paedophile/sex attacker. They obviously believe status and money makes it alright and their victims can be bought. But there are a few not sleeping as comfotably as they used to.Hopefully they will be caught and dealt with before they snuff it like Savile.

In my opinion all convicted paedo's should be castrated using a couple of house bricks and then hung.

    Sick twisted b*stards.

Obviously I agree and I think paedophilia is wrong and all that... But what I don't understand is why are people coming forward now? Why has it taken this long? What do all these (alleged) victims expect now? He's dead; he'll never face justice.

From what I can gather, they are all coming forward now because they were a combination of young, impressionable, vulnerable, teenagers brought up in an era when this kind of stuff wasn't talked about. He was just a "dirty old man" back then. I can understand that. But whether or not the real number of victims is the 300+ currently quoted or if that includes a lot of "fantasists", who knows?

As for what they expect now, think compensation culture. Sue anybody you can for a quick buck. Hence the potential for "fantasists" previously mentioned.

I agree 100% CT and its this point that is almost as bad as the allegations. I have serious concerns now that more and more people are making things up and claiming to be have been abused just to get a bit of compensation. I don't know how we stop the gravy train now it has started to roll, perhaps all alleged victims have to undertake a lie detector test or something. I am convinced that there are spurious allegations being made and these people should be warned that they face prison if their allegations are proven to be fantasy. The problem in this culture is that as soon as there is a sniff of money some people will stoop very low to get it.

Given that a large percentage of child abuses are often those in positions of power and influence, are very manipulative and are able convince people with ease.....
