    I'm supporting Johnson.

Can one of the posters who are once again wanting to see Johnson sacked, those who are clearly so p***** off with the club tell me why they even bother to follow the teams fortunes.
Why on earth do you bother posting negative messages? What is to be gained by repeating the mantra about 'sacking the manager'

You don't help the club - and you're deluded if you say you do it because you 'love the club.'

My guess is that you want the club to fail.

No, I don't want you banned but if you go into 'sleep' mode or 'hibernate' until you feel a bit more optimistic you wont be missed.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion and contrary to your assertions it is possible to support the club at the same time as thinking Johnson is a poor manager.

The same people were constantly shouting the same things when Wilson was sacked. none of them have ever offered a solution other than "sack him" if they dared to think for a minute it might help. For me LJ wasn't sacked after the cup defeat so I really think he isn't going to be.

I have had enough of the Lee Johnson version of Barnsley myself. I say that sadly and without rancour. At the moment he is a poor manager making poor decisions. I've seen not even the slightest indication that LJ has Irvine him to keep us up let alone move us forward. Other than a relegation scrap the season is a write off. I have had dead fish eyes since Altrincham and can't see that changing.

When I'm spending a few thousand a season on watching them, I have a right to be honest when we are absolutely *****

Not all the same people. I never wanted Wilson sacked and was disgusted with the club and their motives when they did sack him.

    That's not true.

I know me & many others said we supported Johnson even though we weren't convinced by him & came up with arguments why things were going wrong & what he needed to do.

Eventually his position became untenable for most fans & I could no longer defend him.

And I didn't want Wilson out, I felt last season was one of rebuilding & results were nowhere near bad enough to even consider sacking him

We all have opinions about manager/player performances but even if we think managers/players are poor we should still support them. If we don't support them we can't be said to be supporting the club.

I support Johnson because he's the manager of my club.

further to add And in my opinion should be sacked sooner than later

Having seen the table as it stands tonight anyone who allows sentiment to over ride what is plainly there to see needs to examine their convictions...its as plain as the nose on anyones face johnson needs to go we are there because we are not good enough....to think ...yes old record .....they got shut of danny for less

Defend johnson without playing ...the... weve sacked too many card.
His record falls short no matter how you dress it up.
Give me one good reason we should keep him employed other than cost.

I totally respect your opinion Mario although you know I disagree with you as regards Wilsons sacking. But the criteria they cited for sacking him is pie in the sky due to the current situation.

The goalposts have been moved on an epic scale to justify the retention of Mr Johnson.

    Shame on them!!!!!!!!!!!

I think that your over thinking it. Maybe people just want to enjoy watching us play and since LJ has been here last season included things haven't been that good to watch. It might just be as simple as that.Nothing personal against Johnson.

    I think we're absolutely ****. I also think we're in a relegation battle.

BUT I go to every home game and most away games. I sing my heart out every away game I go to. Just because I think we're *****, doesn't mean I'm gonna stop supporting them. When football clubs are having a **** couple of seasons, the last thing they need is dwindling support but there's a difference between gobbing off on a forum and constantly booing at games and protesting by not going.

Your first question doesn't make sense. Why do we follow the team's fortunes if we don't like the manager? The lack of fortune is due to the complete ineptitude of the manager and things might actually improve. What gets said on here has zero impact on what happens on the pitch.

Quick question regarding the manager - what type of manager loses nine games out of ten? A ****ing crap one. Unfortunately for us.

This is actually one of the most sensible threads on a popular type of subject! So I'll add my 2p.

I love my club. It's 42 years of my life. 100+ grounds attended. 30 years of STs. My son is now hooked...... I could go on but it's not a competition, just something that'll hopefully put my next few words into some sort of context.

I love my club. That's why I don't get much pleasure from the current performances.
I love my club. That's why I don't really enjoy its current predicament.
I love my club, that's why I care. My feelings have changed, like they might about your beautiful young baby, then toddler who then grows into a 'difficult teen' . That doesn't stop you bobbing down the local and having a right good whinge to your mates cos your once idillic first born you you love dearly has turned into a bit of a ****. You're not going to stop loving him, but your feelings change. But when all said and done you'll love that lad til your dying day. You don't have to see him every day. He might move away, but you'll keep in touch. Then one day you'll meet up again and things have changed. Your love will be reignited and you'll wonder what all the fuss was about. It's because you care that much that these things happen! ........ or you'll become that bitter and twisted that you'll never speak to that 'child' again. The sad bit is that this happens all too often, wether it's a child or a football club. BFCs current parents and guardians need to ensure the beautiful child they are looking after doesn't turn into that annoying teen. At the moment .......... well it's not too late yet, but I reckon the balls will not be dropping anytime soon.
