We've been there Lee unlike your own club who have spent the majority of the last 30 years in the third tier.

I'm jealous of their new rebuilding though.

He's right though, however it's hardly news; fans have been saying the same for a long time now.

Yeah what he said is absolutely spot on and has been the case for a number of years. Don't see a problem at all with his comments. We will struggle to be bought by anyone because we don't own all our assets anymore so going back to the 1990s of comfortably a midtable championship side would be deemed a success.

To be fair he uses the examples of Oldham or Barnsley as those are clubs that he has managed, he could equally have included Bristol City into that list as the same applies but I doubt that would have gone down well with his new employers!

absolutely nothing wrong with that statement

and its totally correct.. he mentions Oldham and Barnsley purely because he has managed them. I would wager he would include many many more in that including his present club Bristol City. Football is becoming obscene at the higher levels. The likes of Oldham and Barnsley are rapidly become just development clubs for the bigger teams, its that simple. I also believe there will come a day that the European champions league will become just that with the likes of certain London Clubs and one or two further north opting out of British football to join a more European, perhaps even global league.

I actually hope this happens. No doubt sky and BT will follow them. Then, hopefully, after a couple of months of mass hysteria, the english league's can crack on with a much more level playing field

No **** Lee. With such finely tuned deductive powers you're wasted as a football manager. You should become a superstar detective and have your own TV show and that.

I don't see that the new deal makes too much difference to our position. Additional revenues will fund higher top level player wages - we will still have to look to the Academy or find lower division gems in any case. As will Bristol City.

    Personally I find the term

derogatory whenever its used by anybody, it might only be a term but its far more 'polite' to say teams like, used like he did especially when he omits his current club like the 'mighty' Bristol City a team of sleeping errrrrrrr what exactly
He'll fit in nicely with the majority of their fans.

They're loaded. I don't think Premier League money would make a massive change to them.
