Can anyone explain his reluctance to substitute white who was clearly incapable of continuing That could easily have cost us the game
I'm not going to knock Johnson tonight because the performance today was streets ahead of whats been witnessed earlier in the season. A terrific display with total commitment from the players. We look much more assured in defence without Nyatanga and certainly pose more of a threat up front. My biggest worry is that without the loans were back to square one unless we can pursue permanent deals for any of them.
I could be wrong but it looked to me like Johnson was about to bring him off bit White signalled that he was OK to carry on
I think Bree wasn't ready. Seemed to start warming up as soon as White went down. I think Hammill also signalled to the bench so I think he was trying to assess the situation as to who to bring on. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
I think the bench were waiting for a sign from White that he was done, which he didn't give. The physio must have said he could run it off so Bree put his jacket back-on. When he sprinted back and pulled up, our Assistant Head Coach was telling him to go down from 50 yards away, but he carried on. It was down to White to tell the bench how he was feeling.
Give over. The entire stadium could see he was in no fit state to continue. The manager should have made the decision to take him off as keeping him on very nearly cost us a goal. There was no way a player playing as well as he was would ask to come off so the manager should identify that a change is needed and make it
I was moaning saying he should be subbed, and the white cleared the ball of the goal line and save us, so good job he didnt bring him off
I was confused. The only thing I was thinking was Templeton could slot in there but he would be too exposed as cover from Hamill isn't strong in defence and all their attacks came long or down their right last 10 mins. It seems it took some sorting to swap Wabara and use Bree as the bigger, more experienced option on our right.
