    Was checking the news last night. Top 10 stories, all full of death & destruction. I read the threads on BBS, and it's largely people having a go at each other, over every mortal thing. I'm just as guilty of it.

    So I'm having a weekend off. I'm gonna forget all about my petty squabbles, and I choose to just be nice to everyone I come into contact with. No matter what. Hopefully some of it will stick.

    We're playing Rochdale today. We might not be very good and we might lose. And so ******* what!? It's just a game of football. I urge people to think about what's going on around you right now, before you log on and vent your spleen later. Or just check out those top 10 news stories, and take a step back.

    Join me. Just be nice to everyone. One weekend only.

    I think you're right with regards to the news. There are times when I truly despair of humanity and simple, common decency not being shown to your fellow man and, on a much smaller & insignificant scale, fellow Barnsley fan. I'll certainly try my best to meet your request.
    However, there are occasions when kind, compassionate, caring people are able to show the very best of man. As a dog owner & lover, I found the opening scene in this news item particularly upsetting. But, thankfully, there is a happy ending.

    Can we have a thread where we all post pictures of our dogs (if owning one).

    Then we can see if the personality of the poster fits the way the dog looks.

    I've heard there's a theory to be tested upon this experiment.

    Nice sentiment, but why just for the weekend. Sounds a bit hypocritical to me. If you can't be nice all the time then why bother at all?
