I thought his goal for Hull at Stoke was pure class - long ball to lone striker. Controls the ball. Turns his man like an international and tucks away the goal. He just seemed more alert and nimble than I remember at Oakwell. Seem to remember his playing as a striker in an end of season game against Bolton and not really getting into the game at all. Looked a real prospect on that showing. Also thought that Rory Fallon's goal was well taken. Worth remembering that the score was 2-2 at the time and he did really well to head a ball which was behind him in an arc just inside the right-hand post. Having said that - Richards was very alert and showed quick feet and awareness in his strike, so mustn't mourn the lost players too much!!
Did we let him go 'cos he was always on the pop and got done for drink driving... Fallon we sold 'cos we needed the money £50K....
