I hope you read the board, so you can see all the positive comments. I was a critic last season (in private and not on here I must add), because I thought you were going through the motions somewhat and lacked a certain commitment in the area of the pitch that mattered, but I wasn't happy about feeling like this, because at the supporters evening when I mentioned THAT photo, you took it in great spirit and seemed a genuinely decent bloke. But good God, what's got in to you? In the last couple of games you've turned in performances that are as good as anything I've seen in a Reds shirt. And long may it continue. With Humey finally looking fit (and to be fair, he never really looked fully fit before his injury...nay, the assault last season!) and with Boggy and Gray both in good form too, we are in a position where we have four strikers all worthy of a starting place, and I don't think we've ever been in that position before. I'm not even mentioning the fifth striker who's turning Colchester's season round. But Super Jon, keep this up mate and there's no reason why we can't continue to climb up the league. The work that you and Humey have put in over the last two games has won us 6 points and been an example to the rest of the team. At the moment you're surely going to be the first name on the teamsheet. There's also been other great performances all over the pitch, in particular young Shotton and Big Darren Moore. It's actually been a pleasure to watch the games and we haven't said that for quite some time. Enjoy the break and lets hope that we carry on as we've started under the new regime (let's ignore the QPR game). And in a few week's time, forget you're a Man United fan and show them why they shouldn't have let you go!
