You wonder what he'd be worth now says Alan Parry. Who was silly enough to sell him for only 5 grand?
Think Ipswich were more silly, He was only young when he left us and wanted to follow hi dad to ipswich He scored goals for fun in Ipswich reserves and they had more chance to see what he was about. Everyone connected to Ipswich were stunned when they sold him to Huddersfield. Think it was Keane who sold him
Doesn't look like an attempt at humour to me. Looked like a dig at the club but when challenged on it he realised the hypocrisy of his post and back pedalled claiming it was a joke. That's just how I see it of course and I could well be wrong
I like humour. I just didn't see any in your post. My demands on what passes for humour must be as unrealistic as my demands on the players.
We had little choice as a 14 year old lad wasn't going to stay home alone in Yorkshire, while his parents for work moved to Norfolk. He was just a normal teenage academy lad. We couldn't have known how well he would have become as a third division striker that's still to get his side promoted.
£5k was a lot of money for a lad who was what... ...14? His dad got a job at Ipswich, and he moved, 5k was the figure for a young lad, who had the potential to be a pro footballer. Ipswich let him go just as he was improving, they're the most stupid.
Same old........business head isn't bolted on at BFC ..........and it hasn't been since Pat took over
If Barnsley signed a young kid tomorrow unproven for 5k folk would be moaning giving it 'box office' and all that *****. But they can suddenly see passed their hand when it's the other way.
We did actually get some money via the Ipswich to Hudds deal as well. Just one of those things that his dad left to go to Ipswich.
