    Fee agreed.

Just waiting on Gary Bowyer to say he can leave.

What a signing this could be.

He has to let players leave before he can bring any in so this should affect his decision.

He just cant seem to make his mind up when it comes to O'Sullivan.

He's obviously not ready for the Championship yet but he knows the potential is there. Get some balls Gary. Stop sitting on the fence f*cksake.

Can't believe Bowyers still they're manager, with a club of they're stature you'd av thought they'd av someone well known. Saying that dint they av Steve Kean for 3 years?

As for JO'S, I really hope we pull this signing off, he reminded me of a 'Devaney' type of player last time he was here. Him and Williams on wings would be amazing IMO.

I saw JOS walking into the Glasshouse yesterday evening with a few other players in training tops. Wasn't sure who the others were though.

Read into that whatever you like...

I think we'll announce him today.

    Fingers crossed.

Another couple of poor results and Bowyer will be under pressure.
Cannot see him lasting to October.

I know I've done this to death...

We've already got Hourihane and Scowen. If we sign O'Sullivan and when Williams is fit, that's four players that any manager in this division would love to have in their side. Even if we're determined to play 4-5-1 (which it doesn't seem we are) that only leaves room for one more midfield player. Digby and Abbott are still on the books. Maris and Bree can play midfield. Watkins played much of last season on the wing for Inverness. Johnson even experimented with Mawson sitting in front of the defence during pre-season. Wouldn't it have been far better to wait until we'd finished our recruitment before signing three midfielders on loan?

I get why we signed Pearson. Johnson really rates him and as we released Bailey, we didn't really have a similar player on the books. But as much potential as Rothwell and Crowley may have, there's a very real chance that if O'Sullivan signs they're going to spend the majority of their loan period on the bench. Yes, we need options and we need cover, but that applies to all positions not just midfield. As it stands, we're desperately short of numbers at full back and up front and we've already used up our 5 loan slots. Had we not signed them when we did, I'm sure we'd have missed out and they would have gone elsewhere, but sometimes you've just got to let that happen. A couple of injuries in key positions and we'll be struggling but we've got numerous options in midfield even without the loan signings.

Are the youth loans only a month at a time? Which leaves us the option of returning them if that's the case.

I see what you're saying. I think at the time of signing Rothwell we were light in all areas, and you can't turn down quality like Crowley when offered. At least that's the message I got

And O'Sullivan transformed us last season, so signing him is a no-brainier

But we are unbalanced in midfield compared to other positions, so it certainly would make sense for Abbott, Digby and Maris to go out on loan

They are youth loans but Pearson, Rothwell and Crowley are here until January at least

I'm amazed people are still panicking over these loans signing.

All it means is that we'll be bringing in permanent signings upfront and in defence. The loan players are filling a gap whilst we get permanent midfielders in.

    Surely thats a good thing?

He's not a ****** for looking out for his own club. By that way of thinking if we couldn't sign players and Blackburn wanted Scowen off us and we'd not sell him to them it would make Lee Johnson a ****** too.

    There's no panicking, just discussing.

Say Winnall gets injured on 1st September. What do we do?
