Well they managed to fix Ryan Williams of being constantly injured for us, so maybe they wish to try the same again with Benson.
Still maintain if we could have ever got him fit, he’d have been our best player. Although DKD might argue that right now I guess. Wherever he ends up, I hope he can stay fit and show what he’s got.
Very talented lad cruelly beset with injuries.Still young enough to have a great career.Good luck Josh.
Even with his injury record aside, I never really got the hype around Benson. In the championship, he looked completely out of his depth, albeit in a poor side. He had a decent spell when we first got relegated, albeit that was curtailed through injury. Though for me, never really showed much promise in the 2 and a half years after, aside from the odd game. If we're aspiring to get out of this division, we need to improve on players like Benson. Best of luck to him though, I hope he keeps injury free.
Totally agree with that. When he was fit he didn’t pull trees up, good luck to him but hes no loss to us
When we signed him he'd only played for Burnleys under 21s and a loan spell at league 2 Grimsby. I remember Burnley fans on X doubting weather he would be able to play in the championship, and we were in trouble signing him to be a regular in the championship. Another Conway brainfart.
Not true. He’d broken into the first team and was man of the match against Man City for example. Think he played about five or six PL games. Unbelievably talented lad, unbelievably unable to cope with the physical rigours of the game. With us. Good luck to the kid. Another really pleasant individual who deserves a bit of fortune.
Young lad from Barnsley came on as sub at halftime, making his debut for the millers today Tom Renshaw
We should have never invested that kind of money into a lad who had never played more than about a dozen games in a row of men’s football. I’ve always said the most important attribute any footballer can have is to be fit enough to play the majority of games.
When he first joined. Everyone could see the ability he had. The only thing that buggered it all up was his constant injuries. Absolutely talented. But we can't keep paying a player who only makes a few appearances a season. As sad as it is, cos he's clearly a great player, we can't pay someone who hardly ever plays. To me it's the correct decision, cos he probably is one of the higher earners too.
