Whilst he does give away quite a bit of the ball , he wins more of it than he loses it. His performances in recent weeks makes duracell Perkins look like a stroller. 3-1 darn near end of game missed a tackle on haif way line but kept after his man and got him second time coming away with the ball, that was int last 5 or 10 mins when the game was lost. Top work Josh keep it up lad. Every side needs a Scowen/Perkins type player come on lets hev this contract sorted.
TBH I thought he had one of his poorest games for a while for us last night and was amazed he got MOTM. However he puts a shift in every week and was excellent against Leeds so I'm sure he'll get back to his best against Preston. Great player
He's such an important player to us. We've got to keep him as well as Watkins, Roberts and Gus. We can't be left having to rebuild almost a full team.
to be fair, it's not really in our control. all we can do is offer contracts on the best terms we can afford. if that's not enough for players out of contract, not much more we can do. that's football.
I get that, I just hope we do all we can and try to pay him as close to a championship wage as we can without breaking the bank.
This is exactly why we should have gambled albeit calculated for the want of a couple of million, at keeping the side together and trying to get the playoffs. Then if we'd had gone up, perish the thought on here it seems, we'd have kept the team together I'd wager.
