Devastating power from Joshua. The knockout was frightening. Looks like Ben Davison has him firing. A few words for Hearn though. What a bell. Ngannou went down like he'd been killed. Was genuinely scary for a moment seeing him go down like that, and Hearn is running off celebrating.
AJ did what Fury failed to do. The face on Fury....He knows what's coming if he sneaks past Usyk. That's one of the best punches I have ever seen. I think AJ wanted his bed as it's nearly 4am local time.
He was celebrating the massive numbers he’ll be receiving for Joshua’s next fight. Hearn is an arse, more so even than his dad - but he was just a bit thoughtless there. He would have been as distraught as anyone had Ngannou been seriously hurt.
He’s beat his old sparring partner & then an MMA fighter who wouldn’t win a British title. He looks a million dollars but so would Barnsley against Athersley Rec. I bet Joshua & Hearn can’t believe their luck that Fury didn’t take the N’Gannou fight seriously. Basically given them a huge pay day against a ‘credible opponent’.
You don't "play" boxing. Great to see Fury embarrassed for the mess he made of it. Then we have Hearn calling AJ best heavyweight on planet whilst begging Fury to beat the guy who run rings around him twice, never change Edward
Really enjoyed the full boxing card last night. Hearn, AJ, Fury, the knockout all added to the drama and story. It's a lot now like WWE but that doesn't matter the fights are not scripted so sit back and enjoy what unfolds, there is some great fights coming.
Although Ngannou had a credible record in fighting at what is one of the toughest disciplines questions should be asked as to why he was able to bypass everyone and fight firstly a current champion and secondly a 2 time champion and number one contender..Boxers like Joshua don't practise mixed fighting techniques, they practise punching power and Ngannou was lucky not to get seriously hurt last night. Fury and Joshua are rich and didn't need to participate in this charade....boxing is a fantastic sport but more effort should be made to force the best to fight each other instead of allowing the Hearns of the world to keep ramping up the price while holding back their fighters...
This. AJ has looked good in the last 2 fights, but it is 2 fights he should be winning comfortably. Granted, Fury should’ve done what AJ did last night, but it’s hard to compare the two. The Fury fight was an exhibition until a week before the fight, if my memory is correct. Hard to judge on a ‘friendly’. The only way we will see where they both are is in their next fights, Fury is in the biggest fight of this generation and AJ has a tough choice of opponent next, if it’s Whyte, Wilder or Parker, let’s see where he is at. It is finally looking like all roads to lead to Fury AJ again so let’s hope they both carry on winning, and winning in style.
That was brutal. He walked forward and AJ just hit him like he was punching one of those punching machines in an arcade - no worry about leaving himself open or being countered, just put everything into it knowing there was nothing coming back.
In the 1950's when I was growing up, and before, a bloke with a horse and cart used to go around Barnsley and District selling paraffin his name was Bob as kids we used to ride on the back of the cart ask thee grandad Cowboy mi owd.
