Just got back in. Fantastic result. Weren't at the races 1st half , Isgrove seemed very nervous, front 2 couldn't hold the ball up. 2nd half much better and after our first goal (OG) we were much better. Our second was a bit of pinball in their box before Fletcher drilled it in, a Hammill trade mark finish into far corner settled it, that was about the first time he had a 1 to 1with a bit of space to work with.
They out footballed us in the first half and were running rings around our midfield without being too threatening, 1st decent cross and they scored at the back post. Both their goals came from crosses from our left side.
We were sat just at the side of the VIP area, so got a good view of all proceedings after the match. Fans were class, I was speaking to Dicky Bird before the match and saw Ben Mansford, Maurice Watkins and Patrick Cryne in the VIP area.

    You redsssss.

You must have been sat just behind us, we were on the front row on the seats right next to the royal box.

i wish the royals wouldnt keep showing off their boxes at all the big footy cup finals

i expected more from hourihanne today and he didnt deliver, maybe thats got a lot to do with them over running our midfield in the first half. and i was disappointed at us being one dimensional with the free kicks, how many direct free kicks from mawson have brought goals this season. but thats nitpicking really, i was a lot more impressed with us in the second half and i think we did deserve the win.

Why does Hecky persevere with Roberts' long throws. Absolute waste all season, as nothing has come from them.

Just got back after a great day. Reassuring to read negativity on here though Hourihane was immense in that second half by the way. And I seem to remember Winnall going close from a Roberts throw.

The area that he throws em is the problem. Needs to be on penalty spot, not in 6 yard box. They need to be attacked & not straight into keepers arms. This weapon hasn't been utilised enough this season for me

I just think they did their homework on Hourihane and pushed him very deep, especially in the first half. They were very well organised, and played some good football when in possession. I'm sure they'll do well in L1 next season.

Williams, Roberts and Hammill for me.
We were second to every ball that first half and I was relieved it was only 1-0. It looked that they were more up for, keener in the tackle ad first to the second ball.
Well done Hecky here he must have done exactly what was required at the interval and the second half was spot on.
We were saying going down ........that this was set up for Hammill and wow he delivered in spades.
Loads of humorous moments but one sticks in my mind on the train going down from Wake. The announcer informed us that.......sorry.. unfortunately the train had run out of beer everybody............ as the train was full of Barnsley fans!!
BTW thought the flat caps were class!!

Yes, we were just in front of all the Airmen in that section, at the end of the row by the entrance to 251 with my daughter.
