    Is it just me or anyone else think untied are getting ripped off here chelsea paid 23m for him hes a great player but hardly featured this season and not in joses plans and united will pay 37million madness.

    He's hardly played this season yet he still has the 2nd most assists in the Premier League over the past 2 and a half seasons. Shows just how talented he is.

    It's crazy. They've got 3 quality players who can play that no. 10 role Rooney, Kagawa & Januzaj yet there signing another who plays the same role while there midfield is worse than the likes of Everton & Newcastle & 3 of there back 4 are no longer world class & need replacing

    They have declined into oblivion. They are desperate, and no idea how to get players in nowadays. Man City, Chelsea get them all

    Good signing for me.

    Spanish intentional who has won World Cup, European Championship, Champions League, Europa League, Chelsea POTY (twice)........and needs games to cement his place in the Spain squad.

    Allows Rooney and RVP to play up top with Mata pulling the strings. Too much emphasis and pressure has been put on the young lad Januzaj, so he can now be selected when required and eased into the bigger games.

    Fee is a bit steep, but when other clubs know you've got the money, the price will always be high.

    I am not having this !!!
    Everyone klnows tha Man Utd do it the right way and bring the kids through the ranks, they never buy anyone for big money !!
    Just about £350 million spent on this squad then !!!

    Didn't say all. There the only club in top flight that give youth a chance. They have been crying out for a cm of Mata's quality.

    I'm definitely no manure apologist but Mata is a top quality player so at their level represents a good signing although you could argue they have other players who play his role still represents a good signing and gets relatively young at 25.
