lack of match practise was his downfall today but he looks a decent prospect. Very quick going forward and tracking back.
RE: lack of match practise was his downfall today Faded towards the end which is no surprise and his inexperience in that position started to show. Started to get casual and sloppy. Would like to see him further up the pitch and would have been more dangerous than Hammill out wide yesterday. Ok as a stop gap but would like to see someone else at left back. Hopefully that will be Filekovic.
I would say more fraustrated than faded as he was getting confusing signal from the bench. Great debut though and he did his job - just wish the stikers would.
Disappointing debut for me showed flashes of what he can do i.e. crosses and using his pace down the flanks, but seemed to want the ball in acres of space before he would attempt to cross and was slow releasing the ball up the wing also a bit lightweight in the tackle. Expected more.
It's the lack of support from midfield that leaves the LB so exposed. No wonder Gray faded towards the end with the amount of defending he had to do.
Yes it is. Not sure we saw that from Gray though. Did he smoke something before he went on? Any more laid back he'd have needed a deckchair.....
What??? He's not played a competitive match for god knows how long and came up against one of the trickiest wingers he'll play against this season. Yes I agree with you very disappointing should've scored 3 made 2 and kept a clean sheet. Muppet!
