I know its two games into the season, but i really feel this needs to be said. WE CANT DEFEND!!!!!!!!! We have let in 7 goals in 3 games. 4 in one, and lets be totally honest, two while playing against ten men. thats the simple fact. Personally, I dont beleive its all down to the back 4, defending starts from the front, (strikers holding balls up, midfielders winning tackles, etc). It about time we started looking at the 11 players as a unit. WE CANT SCORE EITHER!!!!!!!!!! With the exception of Stan against Darlington, (which was a well worked goal). We dont seem to be able to score from open play. (Paul Reid should never have been allowed to shoot, no matter what the level of opposition). In the league we have had 3 penalties, we havent scored from open play. And also dunt start on that "its early days " rubbish. We shipped 85 goals last year, the most in the championship. Its not a new thing. And also i want to say this. I dont see what im saying as being negative. you have to admit there problems before you can address them. If we keep saying "this team needs time" it will be November before we know it we are in a dogfight. There are serious issues to be confronted at the club. I think its down to the manager, but thats just a personal opinion. Hes a coach, not a manager.
"With the exception of Stan against Darlington, (which was a well worked goal). We dont seem to be able to score from open play. (Paul Reid should never have been allowed to shoot………" So you discount Reid's because he "should never have been allowed to shoot"! And there was me thinking he was quickest to react to a loose ball, but then seeing as he's the main target for many peoples criticism we can't possibly give him any praise! Can we discount the first 2 Coventry goals then because they should never have been allowed to get the free header?
Panic alert ...... stop it ....... ..... anything can happen in the first few games, look at Southampton, last season in the play-offs, much better squad than us, and a top class manager ..... Southampton 1 Palace 4 Peterbrough 2 Southampton 1 Norwich 2 Southampton 1 Played 3, lost 3, for 3 against 8 They haven't suddenly become a bad team and we haven't had time to be a good or bad team yet ........ have another look after 10 games, that will be a better indication, but after 3 games, with so many new players in the team, we still have time to come good, and I think we will ...... well better than bottom six anyway!!
RE: I remember when Manchester Evening News have amusingly missed off the bottom of the Prem on their back page to show Man City to and United bottom.
Oh how we laughed.
League tables this early are irrelevant.

Betting suspended on first managerial casualty of the Prem season after several large wagers on Martin Jol. Another defeat for Bolton and I reckon they'll lose their money. Madness.
Without Allardice and the longer they give Sammy Lee, think Bolton might be in trouble, reckon relegation would mean administration for them an all.
Anelka to Man U as well before end of August. They are doomed but typical of a lot of Premier League teams , shocking financial management means they are 1 bad season away from complete and utter disaster.
Southampton did sell..... ...their three best players over the summer though. Still, I agree with what you're saying in principle.
Remember Southampton has sold a few players They are struggling without these players hence the slump.
we havn't been able to defend for about 10 seasons... the season we made the (then div1) playoffs, had we been able to defend we would have one the league easily
